SWISS SUNSET

Sunset over the MISCHABEL swiss alps from Milan.WEISSMIES (4.023 mt),LAGGINHORN (4.010),FLETSCHHORN (3.993 mt) and PIZZO D'ANDOLLA (3.656 mt) are clearly visible,not only at sunset but even during clear days.

FINESTERAARHORN

FINESTERAARHORN is the highest peak (4274 mt,14 022 ft) in the Bernese Alps and in the canton of Berne.Is part of the JUNGFARU-ALETSCH world heritage site,due to its location is the less frequented than the others nearby peaks(JUNGFRAU and EIGER)because is located in one of the most remote area in the Alps,surrounded by un-habited galcial valleys.The summif of this mountain lies on the border between VALAIS and BERNE region of  switzerland.The normal route to reach the peak start from FINESTERAAHORNHUTTE classified by PD difficulty.This kind of views are my favourites from milan even if the day is not clear(usual for milan)and the difficult to take the picture is increased by the subject distance,more than 150 km,about 100 miles.

Streetlights form the new part of the city called BICOCCA,closer to the new ARCIMBOLDI THEATER,and the new university of Milan UNIMIB.

WHITE HORN

An unforgettable view,THE ALPS skyline from Milan,here's the WEISSHORN (3.320 mt) in deutsch or WHITE HORN in english,CORNO BIANCO in italian,TETE BLANCHE in french on a late June afternoon.Located betweeen GRESSONEY  valley and VALSESIA it's  a very popular climb destination.

PALAZZO LOMBRADIA

PALAZZO LOMBARDIA headquarter of the government of the region,located in the part of the city called CENTRO DIREZIONALE ,north west from the city center was completed in 2010 for 400 milion euros cost.It was briefly the highest construction in Italy since the UNICREDIT TOWER was completed.After an international design competition the job was assigned to PEI COBB FREED & PARTNERS.

VIA DANTE

VILLA CLERICI

Another big wondeful MILAN MANSION,Villa Clerici.Designed in 1772 by FRANCESCO CROCE for the silk merchant Giorgio Clerici.It consists of a central block and two sides wings terminated with two chapels dedicated to St. Anthony and St. Theresa.The layout is a triumph of typical italian gardens style and park in the back,adorned with group of classic sculputures among the green.It was take as an inspiration to design many famous amazing villas in the world.

DIAMOND TOWER

Part of the new MILANO SKYLINE with DIAMOND TOWER on the left,and the little diamonds lower.In the center the SOLARIA TOWER(by the STUDIO ARQUITECTONICA,miami) is on building.With his 37th floors,once complete is the highest residential building in italy,the only thing to be mentioned.I bet once finished,but even now with the work in progress is another useless building with no common sense of style.

LEONARDO'S HORSE

The long story about Leonardo's horse...Commissioned by the Duke of Milan LUDOVICO IL MORO to LEONARDO DA VINCI in 1482 but not finished at all.Originally it was commissioned to commemorate the Ludovico's father Francesco.Leonardo produced a clay model but it was detstroyed by French soldiers when invaded Milan in 1499,taken as strike by their archs and arrows.Five century after....Leonardo's surviving material and project were used to complete the opera.In 1977 CAHRLES DENT began to set up an organization to project and finance the horse.Project's cost was nearly 2,5 milion dollar.When Dent died in 1994 the project was abandoned another time.FREDERIK MEIJER take the project under his supervision and was ready to finance the opera,with only one tought,one opera for Milan and another one for his park located in Grand Rapids(Michigan).It was commissioned to the artist NINA AKAMU to made this great opera.Finally 1999 more than 500 years after the horses was finish,the dream come true.Placed one in Milan and one in Grand Rapids.The Milan's horse is placed inside the SAN SIRO RACETRACK,and,a smaller one in downton Allentown's Community Art Park closer to the Baum School of Art in memory of Charles Dent.In 2001 another smaller was placed in Piazza della Libertà in Vinci(leonardo's town)Italy.According to the collective art world the horse is the biggest and largest bronze equestrian statue all around(compare the layout racecourse fence and cars on the pic).

NEW CITY LIGHTS

SUNSET OVER THE STADIUM

The stadium at sunset,titled Giuseppe Meazza,two time world champion winner,also known as San Siro from the part of the city where is located(in the western part of the city).Is the homebase of the two city football teams F.C. INTER and A.C. MILAN,matchless worldwide as number of trophys.Opened the 19th Sept 1926 with the match F.C. INTER vs A.C. MILAN(6-3)with the capacity of 35.000 spectators.The stadium was renewd two times in 1956 and in 1989 when the last upper part was added reaching a capacity  for over 85.000 spectators.When the football league is over tipically during summer is used to host big internationals concerts shows.Inside you can find an interesting football history museum.

THE TUBE

The new subway LINE 5 is the 5th in the city,it's a dirverless trains system opened on Febryary the 10th.Serves the north east part of Milan,for now is only 7 stops service,when works are out in 2015 there are 12 more stops from the part of the city called BIGNAMI to SAN SIRO.Stops are made with anthi-falling system,they are closed by a mobile doors,and it works(opening and closing) only when the train stopping by.Common named in the city Lillac line for the color choosen for the layout decorations.

BOSCO VERTICALE

A new building under costruction called VERTICAL WOOD because once finished as to be view and seems as a vertical wood.Who's the clever builder of this monstrosity?i cant believe is payed for this.
